Welcome to Lucky Duck Living!
Lucky Duck Living Founder, Thais Zoe
There came a time when pulling myself up by my bootstraps no longer had any effect. Bit by bit, the veil of self-will was finally and mercifully lifted. However, seeing myself from the outside-in, was excruciating! I was horrified to discover that I never had been truly happy.
If I was treated in a way that pleased me, and things were going as I believed they should, it was easy for me to embrace my belief that kindness is to be valued above all things. However, when things weren’t going my way, or, I perceived that someone had been unkind or unfair to me, I would unleash a sense of entitlement that illustrated itself in various forms of disappointment, resentment and sometimes anger.
I was fortunate that when these painful truths were revealed, my life changed on the spot. I knew that I never again wanted to make someone’s day more difficult than it might already be. And, in fact, I became genuinely concerned in the care and consideration given others. Not the head knowledge that I had carried for years that was easily discarded when I felt justified, but the soulful knowing that my life would never be the same.
What has followed is happiness independent of circumstance, and I call it JOY! I believe joy is in all of us to be discovered, and can be brought to life in small and large, practical and frivolous ways…and while not always easy, I find it fantastically simple. And for this, I am forever grateful.
From this gratitude the Lucky Duck Living brand was born. Good feelings equals good clothing. We combine; Wit, Style, Animals, Community, Contribution and Comfort into one super fantastic, made in the USA, organic tee!…
Look Good, Feel Good, Do Good!
You will be able to purchase our feel good apparel very soon…in the meantime, be sure to sign up for your chance to win a Lucky Duck Living tee! When you do, you’ll also receive The Joy Blog Weekly in your inbox every Thursday for as long as you like.
The Joy Blog Weekly is dedicated to making room in our lives for things to work out. The art, perhaps, of letting life unfold. Not good at this approach? Neither was I. And, while some days are definitely trickier than others, I suspect there is much to be found in going it with one another!
I hope you’ll join me in discovering joy through everyday living…
